DEARBORN — For a unique and truly rewarding life experience, the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Michigan invites you to become a hospice volunteer. VNA is in search of kind, compassionate individuals to help support patients and families in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday during day time hours. There is a particular need for male volunteers to support male hospice patients. The next training session is February 9, 16, and 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendance at all 3 sessions is required. In as little as 2 to 4 hours per week, volunteers can provide companionship, write a memoir, provide respite for family members or provide office support. All training takes place at the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Michigan headquarters at 25900 Greenfield Road, Suite 600. An interview is required.
