DEARBORN — The American Arab Chamber of Commerce has announced that attorney James Allen is their new chairman of the board.
Allen previously served on the Executive Committee as second vice chairman and as a long time active member of the Arab American community.
In 2000, he formed Allen Brothers, Attorneys and Counselors, PLLC with his older brothers, David and John. David left the practice in December, 2003, when Gov. Jennifer Granholm appointed him to the Wayne County Circuit Court bench.
The firm currently employs 15 attorneys and represents a variety of clients in a range of matters. In 2004, Jim completed his post graduate studies and received his Master’s of Arts in Industrial Relations from Wayne State University.
The newly elected executive committee for the AACC is: James Allen, chairman; Fouad Ashkar, first vice chair; Ali Dagher, second vice chair; Mike Amine, treasurer; Nafa Khalaf, assistant treasurer; Amal Berry, secretary; James Berry, assistant secretary; Nasser Beydoun, past chairman; Ned Fawaz, founding chairman.
