The League of Women Voters of Dearborn-Dearborn Heights is sponsoring four forums on September 30 and October 1, to get voters familiar with various candidates running for office in November.
The first is scheduled at 7 p.m. at Dearborn City Hall inside Council Chambers, featuring the two judicial candidates for 19th District Court, Candyce Ewing Abbatt and Mark W. Somers.
The second forum, at the same location beginning at 8 p.m., is to include Dearborn School Board candidates Aimee Blackburn, John C. Corbin, Sharon Lee Dulmage, Mary Lane and Tameria A. Metiva.
The third and fourth forums are set to take place at Dearborn Heights City Hall’s Council Chambers.
At 7 p.m., the race for 9th District County Commissioner will be discussed, with candidates Mark H. Slater, R-Dearborn Heights, and Diane Webb, D–Garden City, participating.
At 8 p.m. will be the fourth forum, with 17th District state House candidates Andy Dillon, D-Redford, and Sandra Eggers, R-Livonia.
All the forums are open to the public and will be taped for viewing on public access channels.
