DEARBORN — Camp Dearborn is offering some Halloween-themed fun for campers this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17-18.
Camp Dearborn is a unique 626-acre recreational facility that’s located in Milford, owned and operated by the City of Dearborn and open to the public. Among its variety of amenities are campsites, tents and cabins for rent.
Campers this Friday and Saturday (Oct. 17-18) can enjoy these Halloween-themed activities:
• Friday – afternoon check-in, where campers can choose a pumpkin to carve for a contest on Saturday (limit one provided pumpkin per campsite; extra pumpkins can be purchased); an 8 p.m. magic show with Jeff Wawrzaszek, a magician from Ann Arbor; and hayrides at 9:30 p.m.
• Saturday – 11:30 a.m. pumpkin contest judging; Halloween games from 1-3 p.m.; hayrides from 3-5 p.m.; a 4:30 p.m. costume parade, which ends with a contest for best costumes; and trick or treating from 6:30-8 p.m.
The cost of all these events – as well as access to all of the Camp’s amenities – is included in the nightly rates for camping. They are as follows:
• Campsite: $17 to $25 for residents of Dearborn or Milford (exact rate depends on hookup type).
• Tents: $35 for residents of Dearborn or Milford and $45 for non-residents.
• Cabins: $40 for residents of Dearborn or Milford and $50 for non-residents.
