The ability to move around freely is something many people take for granted, but others aren’t so lucky.

But it doesn’t have to be that way, thanks to Pride Ride Wheelchair Transportation, a new company based in Ann Arbor that offers private ride services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to metro Detroit customers.
Pride Ride opened six months ago with the goal of providing caring, safe, and affordable transportation services.
Manager Sam Ahmad said that the reaction has been positive so far and that he and his associates always enjoy giving a helping hand to those in need.
“People really appreciate it so far; what we are doing is helping patients get where they need to go, whether it’s to their family, to clinics, appointments, or anywhere else,” he said.
The Pride Ride crew tackles a variety of jobs each day, ranging from doctor’s appointments to airport rides and simpler occasions like dinner-and-a-movie nights.
Pride Ride’s large, spacious, custom-designed vans, well-trained staff, and attention to customers’ personal wishes make for a comfortable experience that keeps customers coming back.

Pride Ride’s services are trusted locally by many places including hospitals, HMOs, insurance companies, doctors’ offices, various diagnostic services, medical and nursing facilities, dialysis centers, law offices, hotels, airlines, travel agencies and private customers. Pride Ride is a non-emergency service, however.
