The Associated Food and Petroleum Dealers (AFPD) held its annual golf outing at the Fox Hills Golf Course in Plymouth, Wednesday July 14. A continental breakfast began at 7:30 a.m. followed by the golf outing at 9:30 a.m. and dinner ceremony at 3:30 p.m. A silent auction was held during all events. Some AFPD members used the golf outing to advertise their businesses by giving out promotional items. The event raises money for the AFPD Foundation scholarship program and allows AFPD members to network.Since 1910 AFPD’s mission has been to monitor state and federal legislation that impacts the businesses of its members. AFPD has more than 3900 members in the food, beverage and petroleum operating businesses in Michigan and Ohio. Members include local supermarkets, convenient stores, service stations, auto-repair business, distributors and manufacturers.
