Rabih Hamawi, president of The Universe Financial Group in Livonia, has been invited to teach business finance and insurance classes at the Livonia Campus of Davenport University beginning August 25.

Hamawi, who is faculty instructor with the National Alliance of Insurance Education and teaches a variety of insurance and risk management subjects, has a Masters degree in finance with concentration in insurance and financial planning from Walsh College, a law degree from Lebanon and received his Certified Insurance Consultant designation (CIC) in 2007. Hamawi also holds a variety of insurance licenses in the states of Michigan and Ohio and is a registered representative with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in the state of Michigan.
