LIVONIA — A new social security office for disability adjudication and review (ODAR) was opened Monday August 9 at 10:00 a.m. at 19575 Victor Parkway, 3rd Floor, Suite 300 in Livonia

This office will process reviews of applications for disability benefits for Wayne and Oakland County residents. Until now the average time for processing application for ODAR and Social Security offices in Michigan was over 600 days. This office, and another in Mt. Pleasant, were opened to allow more SS hearings to be scheduled and hopefully lower the processing times. This would ultimately lead to a decrease in the backlog of Social Security disability hearings.
