DEARBORN — Some Dearborn Public Schools observed International Day of Peace, Sep.21, by engaging students in activities that promote the annual peace day’s theme of harmony and the absence of war. This year’s campaign slogan was “Peace=Future, The math is easy.” International Day of Peace is observed by all United Nations (UN) member states. This year peace day occurred on the same day as Millennium Development Goals, which is the largest anti-poverty campaign in the world, and was held Sep. 20-22. Youth all across the world spoke out for peace on Sep. 21, and stories were collected by the UN from youth around the world.
