DEARBORN – On Target Marketing Agency, a student-run marketing agency at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, has developed a fully integrated marketing campaign as part of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Collegiate Marketing & Recruitment Program. The campaign is aimed at generating an applicant pool for Investigative Specialist and Language Analyst careers with the FBI.
The campaign will feature an event at the school’s University Center Kochoff Hall that will run from Monday, November 15th to Thursday, November 18th. There will be FBI representatives in attendance at the event to answer any questions that students may have about the available FBI positions. Along with the FBI representatives, the On Target Marketing Agency will be present to help students enhance their resumes and cover letters before submitting them. There will also be a laptop station where interested candidates can apply right away and look up additional information on the FBIjobs.gov web site. Lastly, the event will have free food, drinks, and music for students to enjoy.
The campaign is a portion of a term-long program On Target Marketing Agency students have been participating in. The project, known as the FBI Collegiate Marketing & Recruitment Program, is designed to give students a unique, real-world business experience by creating a marketing campaign for a premier intelligence agency. “By being a part of this project for our Marketing Management class, we are able to get real world experience by doing work in the field we intend on graduating from. Throughout this experience I have been writing various press releases and booking event details which will significantly help me with my career once I graduate,” said Jacquelyn Sophiea, Public Relations and Events Team.
