DEARBORN — A total of 15 local communities announced that they will join together with the Michigan Association of Realtors, the Michigan Housing Department Authority, several lenders and other groups for a state initiative to sell more foreclosed homes in 2011.The program’s goal is to highlight federal programs to help buyers purchase foreclosed homes. The groups plan to sell 100 foreclosed and newly-built homes in the communities to low and moderate-income buyers this year as part of the new Metro Detroit Coalition’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program Partnership while also offering down payment assistance.
