DEARBORN – Henry Ford Community College’s M-TEC Division
will offer free training for unemployed, underemployed, dislocated workers and
veterans for the anticipated growth of defense sector employment in southeast
Michigan.
This training is made possible through funding from the U.S.
Department of Labor, Macomb Community College and HFCC, along with other
colleges in the region. The training will provide technical and other programs
to better position eligible individuals for jobs in the growing defense
sector. Although colleges cannot
guarantee employment, they will work diligently with defense sector employers
for placement.
Those interested can attend an info session on Tuesday, June
7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the HFCC M-TEC Building Auditorium at 3601 Schaefer Road
in Dearborn.
