DEARBORN — The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee’s revitalized new Greater Detroit Chapter hosted a mixer dinner reception at Byblos Banquets in Dearborn on Thursday, June 23.

The organization’s new board took its oath and was introduced at the event, which brought together supporters from different backgrounds and introduced new national president Warren David.
Keynote speaker Donnell White, the interim executive director of the Detroit Branch of the NAACP, spoke of collaboration between the two civil rights organizations and emphasized “faith over fear” as new challenges are met.
In addition, Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad and Dearborn Mayor Jack O’Reilly were honored for their commitment to keeping the city safe and united.
