Dr. Mona Fakih

DEARBORN HEIGHTS — Dr. Mona Fakih will begin practicing at the Detroit Medical Center Clinic on Ford and Telegraph in Dearborn Heights on August 29.

Fakih is a foundation board member of Henry Ford Community College, Civil Rights appointee in Dearborn Heights, and a specialist in treating abnormal uterine bleeding, minimally invasive surgery, menopause, and prenatal care. She graduated from Michigan State University in Osteopathic Medicine in 2007, interned at Garden City hospital and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency training at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor in 2011. 

Fakih is married to local businessman and pharmacist Nabil Fakih owner of Dearborn Heights Pharmacy, who supported her during her pursuit of becoming a medical doctor.  The couple has two daughters,  Maya and Leila.
