DEARBORN — ADC Michigan and its Advisory Board have announced that Judge Gerald Rosen, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, will serve as the keynote speaker for ADC Michigan’s 10th Annual Judges Night Reception to be held on Wednesday, September 21, at 6 pm, at Byblos Banquet Hall (7258 Chase Rd.) in Dearborn. A graduate of George Washington University Law School, Judge Rosen was nominated to the U.S. District Court by President George Bush and became Chief Judge in 2009.
The purpose of ADC’s Annual Judges Night Reception is to recognize and honor local judges whose work in upholding civil rights has been exemplary. Recipients of this year’s Guardian of Justice Award are Judge Timothy Kenney of the Wayne County Circuit Court and Judge David Turfe of the 20th District Court. These judges are being recognized for their commitment to justice, civil rights and the letter of the U.S. Constitution in their courtrooms.
