LANSING — Michigan pharmacists are encouraging more people to clean out their medicine cabinets according to local reports. Pharmacies are continuing to push of their “drug disposal” program with the goal of eliminating old, out-of-date and unused prescription drugs that are being abused by teenagers and others in larger numbers. More than 1,000 pounds were collected last year in the program’s first year.
