Detroit — A $200,000 payout given to former Wayne County Development Director Turkia Mullin has resulted in a federal investigation and now a recall effort against Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano. 

Ficano ended severance payments for all political appointees last week according to local reports but questions remain unanswered in regards to the payout situation. 

Richard Convertino, a Plymouth attorney, is leading the Ficano recall effort. A hearing is scheduled for Nov. 9 to determine if the filing can proceed.
