DETROIT — Turkia Mullin, the former Wayne County director of economic development and former countyAirport Authority CEO, has been ordered to give a deposition.
The order stems from a lawsuit claiming Mullin and the Airport Authority violated an open meetings act as they searched for a new director. On Nov. 22, attorneys will be allowed ask questions about her job with the airport and the county.
It will be the first time her testimony under oath will make it on the record since her $200,000 severance scandal occurred. She had received the money upon leaving her economic development job. An FBI investigation has been ongoing since the scandal broke in Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano’s office.
