LANSING — Police all over the Midwest are planning to step up enforcement of seat belt and other traffic laws during Thanksgiving weekend.

Michigan officers and others from neighboring states are mobilizing for extra enforcement during the holiday period, with the “Click It Or Ticket” effort running from Thursday through Sunday.
