DETROIT - Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano nominated business executive Timothy Nasso to be Chief Operating Officer for the county. The nomination will go before the Wayne County Commission this week.

Nasso brings an illustrious career of corporate achievements and experience to the position. Currently he is president of The Nasso Group, LLC. “We are excited to have a person with his qualifications and experiences join our team,” said Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano. “He will make a positive and immediate impact.”

Nasso will report directly to County Executive Ficano and be responsible for the organization’s overall strategic and operational accountability. He will, among other things, direct and streamline day-to-day operations of county government, communicate organizational strategy and mission to staff and implement programmatic efficiencies.

With the Midland-based Dow Chemical Company, Nasso worked directly with Dow Chemical CEO and the Execu tive Leadership Team to ensure involvement in key internal and external initiatives to support the company’s overall global strategy.
