LIVONIA – An investigation will be launched into the actions of a policofficer who pulled over a U.S. citizen of Mexican descent in Livonia who was allegedly threatened with deportation and bodily harm.The ACLU sent a letter on behalf of the man, Tiburcio Briceno, 41, from Grand Rapids who said he was also handcuffed for hours at a traffic stop. He also said he showed the officer his license but he instead asked for his visa, to which he replied that he didn’t need one due to his U.S. citizenship status. 

State Police said it “does not condone, support, or teach any type of bias profiling” in a press statement.
