DETROIT- Tanganyika Felton, the wife of the man charged with the murder, torture, and robbery of Highland Park gas station clerk Hussan A. Hussein, reportedly testified that her husband told her about the shooting, according to a Detroit Free Press report.
Brian Evans, 33 the man charged with killing 59-year-old Hussein, told her that “something bad happened” about three hours after the Jan. 18 shooting and that someone ended up getting hurt and killed. She testified that he asked the clerk to open the safe but he didn’t, so Evans shot him twice in the leg. Norwood Witherspoon, 27, was also ordered last Friday to stand trial on similar charges.
Felton said according to the Free Press that she had been scared to testify against her husband, saying he threatened to kill her if she told anyone, but prosecutors threatened to hold her in custody if she had decided not to testify.
