On June 16 about 80 people protested outside of a local Flagstar Bank. Demonstrators claim Flagstar is not a community bank that cares about people as their ads claim, and instead of modifying mortgages to keep families in their homes, would rather collect taxpayer compensation from Fannie Mae and evict people. Protesters plan on keeping up the pressure by rallying at the Flagstar sponsored music stage at the Detroit River Days festival in Detroit on June 22. They were expected to print 2,000 flyers to distribute at the festival.
