Linn was identified through a surveillance camera several days after the incident took place, with help from the Council-on American Islamic Relations, a group based in Washington D.C., who offered a $5,000 reward on any information that could be obtained on the suspect. Linn allegedly appears in the surveillance wearing a camouflage sweatshirt and hat at the mosque’s entrance shorty before the fire occurred, which was reported at around 5 p.m. on Sunday.

“We recommend a security guard during prayer hours,” Ayoub told told NBC News earlier this week. “Take measures and use common sense. Keep an eye on people who don’t seem to fit in. We ask them to install video cameras at the doors and throughout the mosque. Limit access to areas such as the kitchen, furnace or storage where someone could hide.”
