DEARBORN— On Nov. 14 at approximately 5 p.m., the Dearborn Police Department responded to the 22000 block of Cherry Hill after a report of a home invasion. Entry was gained by breaking in the side door of the home. The victim stated that there was jewelry missing from the home. During the investigation, evidence was located which led to two possible suspects.

On Nov. 21 plain clothes officers from Dearborn conducted surveillance on the two suspects in a vehicle that led them to Garden City. Surveillance officers observed the suspects attempt to enter a home, however they were scared off. The suspects then committed a home invasion at another residence in Garden City. Surveillance officers arrested two subjects and recovered the stolen property from the Garden City home invasion and a handgun. Both subjects were charged with home invasion for the Garden City incident as well as an unrelated Eastpointe incident.
Arrest warrants were issued for both subjects of the Dearborn incident for felony home invasion and felony larceny in a building. Michael Deangelo Freeman, a 21 year old Redford resident and Jenico Marquis Peterson, a 21 year old Detroit resident were arraigned on the charges. A preliminary exam was set for Dec. 7 at 9 a.m. in the 19th District Court. The Dearborn Police Department is urging residents to be vigilant for suspicious vehicles and people in their neighborhoods.
