DEARBORN—Three children who all attend school here are in need of financial donations. Michael, Drako and Chastity lost their mother Nikki when she passed away from cancer before Christmas, and in January their father also lost his life to pulmonary embolism. The Cannizzaros are now living with their grandmother, who’s caring for them. On Tuesday, Jan. 29, the new Arab American-owned busness Yogurtown in West Dearborn also hosted a fundraiser for the family during which over $1,000 was raised according to Dearborn Patch.  

Those who want to reach out to the children are being encouraged to drop off donations to Snow Elementary School, located at 2000 Culver Street here. Items such as gift cards, or checks made to the children’s grandmother, Shirley Sironen can also be mailed to the school.
