Rev. Simon Faddoul

WARREN — Rev. Simon Faddoul, President of Caritas Lebanon will visit the St. Sharbel Maronite Church Banquet Center here Friday, Mar. 8 from 5-7 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. for a fundraising dinner.  Caritas Lebanon is an international organization that provides assistance to people who has fled countries struck by war and are seeking refuge in Lebanon. The organization wants to raise money to help political refugees.

For the past two years, there has been a huge influx of refugees migrating to Lebanon from countries such as Iraq, Syria, Egypt and Palestine. Since its foundation 36 years ago, Caritas Lebanon has reached out to people who experience difficult living conditions or carry the burden of sickness and poverty. Throughout its various  missions the organization attempts to restore human dignity by lending a hand to needy people regardless of race, gender or creed. There is a $10 minimum donation requirement to attend the fundraiser.
