Flamingo Grill
DEARBORN HEIGHTS — Dearborn Heights Mayor Dan Paletko joined city officials, representatives from the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce and employees and friends of the Flamingo Grill for the new restaurant’s March 16 grand opening/ribbon cutting celebration.
Owner Adam Fayli and wife Jamie opened the business in late 2012. It offers a wide variety of Middle Eastern and traditional American dishes. The restaurant offers delivery service, and soon plans to offer catering services as well.
Fayli, who is a long-time veteran of the food service industry stresses he and his family “have trained under some of the area’s top chefs, and have a passion for foods and creations – and we offer some of the best tastes in Wayne County.”
If you’re driving by the eatery, you might not have realized it offered Mediterranean cuisine because of its name. Fayli who also has a background in business says his son thought up the unique name. Good Burger
DEARBORN — Customers at the BP gas station on Ford Road here can pick up dinner while stopping by for gas, now that Good Burger Restaurant launched right inside it. The restaurant hasn’t been open long, and is already becoming popular among locals. It offers a wide variety of burgers, and other options ranging from salads to chicken fingers.
Since opening it has catered to the Dearborn Public School District, various groups and businesses. “My burgers are always fresh,” said Good Burger co-owner Hassan Jaafar who’s business partners with Zo Olabi. The two both share a passion for food. Jaafer said what he loves most is being able to get creative with his own menu, which features burgers with pretzel buns, and items that can be added such as onion rings.
