DEARBORN-The American Arab Professionals Network (AAPN) of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2013 American Arab of the Year Award recipients. Those being honored will be presented with an award at the AAPN’s “Celebrating Success Banquet” May 15 at the Bint Jebail Cultural Center here. 

The event highlights the contributions and success of Arab American professionals in various fields.  

The awardees are: American Arab of the Year in Education, Dr. Badih Jawad, Department Chair Mechanical Engineering, Lawrence Technological University; American Arab of the Year in Creative Arts, Michael Ibrahim, Executive Director and Music Director, Michigan Arab Orchestra; American Arab of the Year in Finance, Richard David, Chief Operating Officer, UHY Advisors, Inc.; American Arab of the Year in Legal, Moheeb Murray, Partner, Bush Seyferth and Paige PLLC; American Arab of the Year in Medical, Dr. Hoda Amine, Psychologist, Dearborn Counseling Services; American Arab of the Year in Technology, Fawwaz Ulaby, Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science University of Michigan.
