DEARBORN — On Wednesday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m., community members will host a fundraising event to help 21-year-old Mohamed Haidar, who has been on dialysis for the last five years and is in desperate need of a kidney transplant. Haidar requires a blood type A, or O kidney match. The dinner will take place at Greenfield Manor, located at 4770 Greenfield Road, Dearborn. Tickets are $25.
Also, on Friday, May 31, a blood drive will be held, from 1-7 p.m. at the Islamic Institute of Knowledge, located at 6345 Schaefer Road, Dearborn.
