WAYNE COUNTY — In an effort to address the primary concern of motor vehicle traffic for skaters, cyclists, runners and walkers, Wayne County Parks has established the “Saturday in the Park” program. This program gives visitors an opportunity to participate in their favorite activities in a traffic-free environment on a six-mile stretch of Hines Drive.
The “Saturday in the Park” program offers visitors the opportunity to walk, run, skate, or cycle safely from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each Saturday, from May 4 through September 8, 2013. The stretch runs from Ann Arbor Trail to Outer Drive.
Parking is available at Hines Park-Warrendale Area (Warren Avenue, East of Telegraph) and Hines Park-Nankin Mills Picnic Area (Hines Drive and Ann Arbor Trail). For additional information on this program, or any other Wayne County Parks event, call 734.261.1990, or visit www.parks.waynecounty.com.
