DETROIT — JPMorgan Chase announced on Monday that it is expected to disburse $1.5 million in grants to various agencies and groups in southwest Detroit, in an effort to improve services and neighborhood revitalization around three of the City’s public schools.
Over the course of three years, Southwest Solutions will receive $1 million to increase an economic stability program that will serve families at Harms and Maybury elementary schools and Western International High School. The additional $500,000 will be directed towards job training for youth and parents, financial literacy and other programs.
