The Department of Homeland Security announced Monday that Syrians living in the United States may apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) or extended TPS from the last application time, if the individuals entered the country by June 17, 2013.

TPS will be granted for 18 months, from October 1, 2012 through March 31, 2015 by showing continuous residency since June 17.
