DEARBORN —Henry Ford Community College (HFCC) is offering a one-time tuition amnesty program, from July 15 to Aug. 14, to help students clear debt and return to college. This program provides students an opportunity to pay 50 percent of what is owed on their account to settle their debt with the College.
“In this difficult economy, many students ended up owing the College money when their life situation changed, and they were unable to complete their studies, or pay the amount owed,” Dr. Stanley Jensen, president of HFCC said.
This one-time program is available to all students, who maintain a balance prior to the winter 2012 semester. The deadline to participate in this program is Aug.14. No extensions will be given on this deadline. Individuals who do not take advantage of this program must pay their debt in full, or face continued collection action and adverse credit impact.
