LANSING — Gov. Rick Snyder recently announced the reappointments of Dhafer Almaklani of Dearborn and Pamela Wyett of Charlevoix to the Michigan Board of Pharmacy. The 11-member board is responsible for regulating and inspecting the practice of pharmacy and drugs manufactured and distributed in the State.
“Dhafer and Pamela are two highly qualified individuals and I thank them for their willingness to serve on this board,” Snyder said.
Almaklani is the owner and pharmacy manager of Farmington Village Pharmacy and has more than ten years of pharmacy experience. He specializes in pharmacy operations, health care compliance and pharmacy regulation. Previously, he was a pharmacist with Target and CVS Pharmacy.
Almaklani holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and health sciences from Wayne State University. He will represent professionals on the Board.
Members serve four-year terms, expiring June 30, 2017, and their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the State Senate.
