DETROIT — Local Muslim and Jewish Americans are being encouraged to participate in a survey that is aimed at determining an accurate view of how people from the two communities perceive one another. The survey is an effort that is being brought forward by the Michigan Muslim Community Council, the American Jewish Council Detroit and the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding.
The groups hope to identify areas of collaboration and cooperation in the future. All responses will be kept strictly confidential, and the final results of the survey will be shared by the Jewish and Muslim community.
The survey is funded by a grant from the Ravitz Foundation, a private Michigan-based Foundation, to promote the idea of an inclusive community.
The questionnaire takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Participants must be 18 years, or older.
