Arab Americans claimed victories in major races. Yemeni American Hamtramck Mayoral Candidate Dr. Abdul Algazali managed to beat the City’s current mayor, Karen Majewski, and first time Dearborn City Council candidates Mike Sareini, Susan Dabaja and Tarek were among the top vote-getters. The names of candidates who will go on to compete in the November General Election are featured in bold print.
