DEARBORN — For the 14th year in a row, the City of Dearborn’s Finance Department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).
The certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of government, accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management, according to the GFOA.
Recipients are judged on their comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).
