The American Middle East Christians Congress (AMECC) recently sent a letter to President Obama, regarding the persecution of Christians in Egypt.
In the letter, the AMECC strongly condemned the senseless killing and destruction of the Coptic Christian priests, citizens and churches in Egypt. Ramsey Dass, president of the AMECC, said “America takes pride in protecting minorities and ethnics, but this does not seem to be the case, or politically correct now. We pray for the safety of all Egyptians, especially the Coptics and Christians. Otherwise, the Coptics will face the same fate as in Iraq, or Syria.”
He went on to indicate that Christians in the Middle East have never faced such catastrophe and turmoil, throughout their existence. He explained that the outcome of this matter in the coming years will have a direct effect on the American Middle Eastern Christians.
