DEARBORN — Delegates from Africa were in Dearborn Monday and visited the office of The Arab American News (TAAN) to learn about metro Detroit’s large Arab and Muslim American communities.
The visit was organized by the International Visitors Council (IVC) of Detroit. The 10 delegates and four interpreters met with TAAN Editor Rana Abbas, who briefed them on the Arab and Muslim American communities history in the region, and the challenges they have faced locally and nationwide.
The IVC frequently sends visitors from around the world to TAAN’s office to meet with the paper’s leadership and learn about both communities.
