The two candidates butted heads over a question on how they could improve quality of life in the City. Duggan cited abandoned homes and dead street lights, as a major concern of his. The County recently announced a plan that would restore some of the street lights in the next five years, but Duggan said that isn’t enough.

The candidates didn’t disagree on all of the questions, however. Both of them agreed that one of their first priorities would be to try to revoke Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr from his duties by the end of 2014. The two also agreed on a question about how they would assist children in Detroit’s communities, stating that they need more playgrounds and after school activities to keep them off the streets.
