DEARBORN — Several larcenies have occurred at the American Moslem Society, located at 9945 Vernor.  The suspect enters the mosque during prayer service, removes personal items from the storage shelf and then exits the mosque.  The latest two incidents occurred on Oct.17 at approximately 2 p.m. and Oct. 24 at about 8 p.m.  

The suspect is a Caucasian male, approximately 5’10”, thin, with a mustache and possibly a goatee.  The man has short hair and is balding.  The suspect is known to frequent the area of Dix/Vernor.  

Dearborn Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.  “This type of crime in a house of worship will not be tolerated.  The community’s assistance in identifying the suspect is instrumental in this investigation,” Dearborn Chief of Police Ronald Haddad said.
