DETROIT — According to Detroit Police, a decapitated and burned body was found on the City’s west side at an abandoned school. On Nov. 10 at about 2:30 p.m., a tip led investigators to the body that was discovered inside the former Ruddiman Jr. High School on the northbound Southfield Freeway service drive, just north of Warren Avenue.
The body was burned severely and decomposed, to the point that officers couldn’t determine whether the victim was a male or female. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office plans to work to identify the remains, but the body has no usable fingerprints, and no teeth are available for testing. Those with missing family members or friends should contact police to see what they can do to help solve the crime.
