DETROIT — Saad Chehab is leaving his position as president and CEO of the Chrysler brand to become the chief marketing officer of Maserati globally. Maserati did not previously have a chief marketing officer.
Chehab, an Arab American, played a significant role in creating Chrysler’s 2011 Super Bowl commercial with Eminem’s “Imported from Detroit” advertising campaign. Chehab, 46, will strengthen the Maserati brand globally, primarily in the United States. He was first named president and CEO of Chrysler brand in September 2011. Prior to that he was appointed as the director of advertising and brand marketing.
