According to a spokeswoman for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office, the four crimes include acquiring/maintaining a criminal enterprise, punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and receiving and concealing stolen property over $20,000. Five police officers and the former police chief have been ordered to stand trial on felony charges originating from a three-year State Police investigation.
The Michigan State Police has been leading the investigation with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office and the FBI. Michigan State Police raided the police department back in 2011, St. Andre’s home in Garden City, and his wife’s tanning salon in Westland, according to reports.
