MICHIGAN — This week, Gov. Rick Snyder continued his statewide “Comeback Story” tour, jumpstarting his campaign for re-election. Snyder won his firstcampaign in 2010 on a platform of job creation, a smarter tax code and putting the state back on firm financial footing.
“When I first ran for governor, I said I would put politics aside and focus on delivering real, measurable results to a state that needed them,” said Gov. Snyder. “Just three years later, our plan is working and Michigan is coming back.”
Snyder kicked off his campaign Monday and Tuesday with a two-day tour of local family businesses that have thrived under his plan to reinvent Michigan.
According to Gov. Snyder’s Administration, in just a few short years, his plan has delivered results that include more than 220,000 new private sector jobs, as well as the state becoming leading the nation in manufacturing jobs and recovery from the Great Recession. Michigan is also number three in the nation in high-tech growth.
