TROY—This week, Troy Police released a sketch they believe closely resembles the suspect responsible for the recent slaying of a gas station clerk in the city. Police are still seeking the public’s assistance in helping apprehend the suspect.

The clerk, 63-year-old Athir Putres of Rochester Hills, was shot in the head on Saturday Feb. 7 between 1:20 p.m. and 1:25 p.m.
Putres’ body was found behind the counter at the Clark gas station on Rochester Road and South Boulevard.
Witnesses of the crime worked with detectives for hours to develop the sketch and say the suspect is medium build with a mustache. The suspect is also believed to be between 40 to 50 years-old with a height of 5’9”.
