DEARBORN – Gerald Rosen, chief federal judge for the Eastern District of Michigan will deliver the keynote address during the Lebanese American Heritage Club’s 26th annual awards gala Friday, May 9 at the Adoba Hotel in Dearborn.  

The event attracts about 1200 people every year. Assistant U.S. Attorney Abed Hammoud and the Walmart Corporation will be presented with this year’s Excellence and Great Achievements Award.  

Hammoud has been employed with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Michigan since May 2011. He is currently assigned to the White Collar Crime Unit, handling different types of fraud related cases. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Abed spent nearly 15 years at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. For more on the gala visit www.lahc.org.
