OAKLAND COUNTY— On Sunday, authorities found the bodies of a couple who were fatally shot to death in Pontiac. The Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office is calling the deaths a murder-suicide. The 26-year-old man and 30-year-old woman were both found dead of gunshot wounds to the head.
The couple was found in the bedroom of a home. A 16-year-old living in the house says his aunt was arguing with her husband for more than an hour before the two gunshots were heard.
The gun used in the shootings belonged to the female victim, who purchased it a few months ago for protection. The Oakland Press reported that the medical examiner ruled the man’s death a suicide. Officials are calling the woman’s death a homicide.
