WEST BLOOMFIELD — The search for three suspects described as Middle Eastern, who posed as FBI agents while attempting to rob residents in Sterling Heights and here is still underway.

Last week, West Bloomfield Police responded to a call from a resident, who said two men and a woman knocked on the back door of her house demanding to be let inside. 

The woman found it strange that the three didn’t initially try to enter from the front door and immediately called police. 

Once she informed the three that police were on their way, they fled the scene in a Mercedes Sedan with tinted windows. The homeowner said all three were wearing black clothes with “FBI” printed in blue and were armed. The men are reportedly in their thirties, while the woman is in her twenties. 

The incident is similar to two other cases that were reported in Sterling Heights involving the same suspects. In those cases the suspects actually managed to make their way into the homes.
